For the second year in a row, Boston-based Ceres and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants honored the corporate consciousness report written by Pure Strategies as the best North American report for the small and medium enterprise category. This marks the third time the company has received the prize with Pure Strategies’ help, with honors given this year, last year and in 2007.
Judges cited the report's The 2008 Corporate Consciousness Report (www.svg2008report.org) look into the company's vision for “Reinventing the Purpose and Possibility of Business” with an in depth discussion of Seventh Generation’s engagement with its manufacturing partners to improve sustainability performance. Judges cited the reports transparent discussion of the increasingly competitive home care industry and the company's disclosure of ingredients on product labels and its advocacy for similar disclosure by others in industry.
