History
Bob Kerr and Tim Greiner launched Pure Strategies in 1998 at a time when traditional command and control regulations for environmental issues had reached their limit. They changed the focus from end-of-the-pipe solutions to the entire product life cycle with a special focus on product design. The company’s early work with Stonyfield Farm and Seventh Generation spurred the development of services and tools that answered fundamental questions about product environmental impact. Bob and Tim built strategies to align a company’s products and its supply chain with its sustainability objectives.
