Tara Gallagher, a Senior Advisor at Pure Strategies, specializes in developing and communicating sustainability strategies. An expert in CSR reporting, she wrote the award-winning 2007 and 2008 Seventh Generation Corporate Responsibility Reports as well as the company's 2009 - 2015 reports. Tara has also developed CSR reports and/or other CSR communications for The North Face, EMD Millipore, and numerous other companies. A recipient of the GRI-G4-certified training on the GRI sustainability reporting process, Tara has facilitated materiality assessments for several clients.

Tara has provided support to leading companies such as Walmart and Seventh Generation on the development and execution of organizational strategies to improve their sustainability performance. She has created approaches for supply chain engagement, developed performance indicators, and helped clients develop approaches to address deforestation and water management. Tara has also worked with clients to measure and report progress on their carbon strategies.

Tara has also worked at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection assessing risks to drinking water supplies and developing water supply protection policies and regulations. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored her in 2001 with an Environmental Merit Award for her water supply protection initiatives. Tara has a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale University and a B.A. in English from Middlebury College.
